How Writing Matters Interviews

In the spring semester of 2012 the Writing Center organized a roundtable discussion for Vassar College faculty and students titled “How Writing Matters: Communication in the Liberal Arts.” Our panelists included faculty and students from across the curriculum. We asked each writer to talk about the role of writing in his or her development as a thinker, and to tie that to the specific values of a liberal arts education that writing most effectively supports. Finally, we talked about how those values and the process of writing manifest in classrooms across the curriculum. These interviews continue that conversation.
